There exists a large temple. Marble so pure and white.
There was need no need for candles or lanterns. For its Landlord emitted His own light.
One day a handsome man entered the temple, boldly and without shame.
This man had desire. This temple, not his own, to claim.

Approaching the Landlord, he began to boast,
"Today you have lost. I have corrupted what you love most."

The Landlord replied, "I have not lost, I have in fact won.
You believe you struck a blow, but you failed before this even begun."

"Wrong," the handsome man stated, "They now turn away.
If they refuse to believe in you, how can they stay?
You gave them this gift of free will
And with a little nudge they'll deny you still.

Sure a small portion may still trust.
But thanks to me most will be dust.
For I served you many a date,
Therefore I know how you operate.

To return to this temple, you ask one thing.
A sacrifice they must bring.
But they will always long to desert.
Forever they will bring you hurt.

Not one of them will be pure.
How to undo my plan they will never be sure.
Ha! Who, in thier stead, could there possibly be?

The Landlord simply smiled, "I'll send them Me."
